Sponsor a Screening

We’d love to partner with your organization to share the wild voices with your membership or audience

“Finding environmental films to screen for our members can be a challenge but The Singing Planet’s film crew, especially Liz McKenzie made it very easy! The communication was always timely, and Liz went above and beyond providing every last detail and best practice tips on how to host a successful screening. I especially appreciated Liz’s flexibility in accommodating our organization’s needs, patiently dialoguing with me on how to organize our on-demand screening. I also thought it was special that Liz and the natural sounds recordist from the film, Hank Lefter, were able to participate in a panel discussion with our members after the screening period ended. We received wonderful feedback from our members, but it’s no wonder as The Singing Planet is an inspiring film, perfect to reignite any individual's passion for the environment!”

  • A screening of The Singing Planet could be used as a membership drive or educational opportunity.

  • The film is 38 minutes in length, so it pairs well with Q & A’s, panel discussions or other activities to provide a program of an hour’s length, or longer if joined with a group activity such as a bird walk.

  • Through the Eventive online platform, the film can be seen anywhere and scheduled according to your needs.

  • A live Q & A with the filmmaker, Liz McKenzie, and natural sounds recordist,  Hank Lentfer can be enjoyed seamlessly after the film via Eventive. We can respond to audience questions and comments in real time.

  • Panel discussions with Liz and Hank and other panelists from your organization are another option.

Some ideas for activities after the film:

  •  A bird walk in your area with a local birding expert.

  •  A recording walk, with cell phones as recorders, to listen for wild sounds and record them.

  •  A listening adventure, or assignment, where participants each have a spot to sit outdoors, and listen for all the sounds that make themselves known.

  •  A journal of discovery, written while participants sit quietly in nature and listen for a time before journaling about the experience of slowing down and noticing what’s trying to get their attention.
